AI Master challenge 2025 - AI Lab & JewelKitPro

The AI Challenge:

Each year, as part of their Master's degree in AI, students work on a specific and concrete project in collaboration with a partner.

This year’s challenge is in collaboration with JewelKitPro, a platform that empowers jewelry designers through digital innovation.

Working in teams, students developed an AI-powered chatbot, called JewelKitStudio, that understands customer needs and turns their ideas into personalized 3D jewelry models ready for production.
On Tuesday, May 20th, students will showcase how natural language processing, creative generation, and real-time modeling come together to reinvent custom jewelry design.

With this AI challenges, we aim to improve the hands-on skills of our Artificial Intelligence Lab master students, as well as their soft skills.

In 6 months time, they have to develop and integrate AI technology in close collaboration with a professional partner. Next to the technical aspects they hereby learn how to organize themselves, manage the project, and communicate about it. Each year, as part of their Master's degree in AI, students work on a specific and concrete project in collaboration with a partner.

17h to 18h00: Introduction about the AI master and the AI Challenge, students will present their work and demos.

Location:

The event will take place at the AI EXPERIENCE CENTRE of the VUB. It is an innovation hub dedicated to emerging as an enabler by connecting academic expertise of the EU AI Framework with relevant stakeholders.

The AI Test and Experience Centre functions as a high-tech test, demonstration, and meeting platform which welcomes companies, policymakers, tech entrepreneurs, researchers, and the general public to experiment with AI and cooperate to develop and produce technological solutions.
