The 14th edition of LISE - Luxembourg International Science Expo - will be open to the public on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 November 2024, from 10am to 4pm, at the Forum Campus Geesseknäppchen.
Once again, this event promises an exciting convergence between science and youth. More than 50 stands will welcome around a hundred young scientists from over 20 different countries, including winners of the Jonk Fuerscher 2024 contest. They will be presenting their innovative research projects in fields as varied as astronomy, engineering, environmental protection, and political science.
As well as meeting these young talents and exploring their remarkable projects, visitors will have the opportunity to discover:
- a showcase exhibition on Hugo Gernsback, an American-Luxembourg inventor, entrepreneur and visionary author;
- an exhibition of photographs by astrophotographer Martin Lefranc;
- an installation of interactive mathematical puzzles by Hugo Parlier and Bruno Teheux from the University of Luxembourg;
- interactive robotics and digital installations by the Luxembourg TechSchool (LTS);
- a series of participatory workshops: pneumatics by the Association of Engineers and Scientists (Wëssens Atelier), the mathematics of chess (Arshia Atashpendar), the Gender Game (LISER & LIST), the climate discussion (Climate youth delegates), the Guess the scientist Game (Wide Andco & LIST), the DIY buzz wire challenge (Base 1).
Admission is free and underground parking spaces are available ar the Forum Campus Geesseknäppchen.
