About the Teacher

My name is Marijana Antarorova, and I am currently an MBSR teacher in training at Brussels Mindfulness. I began my meditation journey 7-8 years ago and deepened my focus on mindfulness about 6 years ago. Through consistent practice, I have developed a steady meditation routine that supports me in living a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

Mindfulness has helped me stay grounded, handle challenges more skillfully, and remain present in my day-to-day life. In addition to my studies as a teacher in training, I also work in the non-profit sector in Brussels.

What is MBSR?

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an evidence-based program designed to help individuals cultivate mindfulness—the practice of being present in the moment with awareness and non-judgment. Developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, MBSR combines mindfulness meditation and gentle movement practices to reduce stress, enhance well-being, and foster resilience in daily life.

Course Dates & Location

This pilot course is structured over eight weeks, with an additional silent day scheduled between sessions six and seven.

  • Start Date: 8 February 2025
  • End Date: 5 April 2025
  • Sessions: Eight Saturdays from 14:00 to 16:30 on the following dates: 8 February, 15 February, 22 February, 1 March, 8 March, 15 March, 29 March, 5 April.
  • Silent Day: One Silent Day on Sunday, 23 March 2025, from 09:30 to 16:30
  • Location: In-person at the cosy Yoga studio Samkya (Rue de Flandre 134, 1000 Brussels)
  • Number of participants: A small group of 6-8 persons
  • Special Price: €225 for the Full Course, including the Silent Day
  • Instruction language: English

Who Is This Course For?

This course is for individuals who:

  • Seek to improve their overall well-being and develop tools to manage stress effectively.
  • Are in a relatively stable period of mental health and supported by a professional, if necessary.

Health Guidelines
To participate in a mindfulness course, it is necessary to be in stable mental and physical health. If you are currently experiencing severe anxiety, acute or clinical depression, burnout, or grieving a recent or intense loss, I recommend waiting until your condition improves before joining. If you are under the care of a doctor or psychotherapist, please consider consulting them beforehand to assess your readiness for the course.
