About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 15 minutes

This May 3rd, DAS HAUS sets up the boldest blind date in Brussels — two restless spirits meet for the first time — and you're invited to witness what unfolds.

When Dutch singer-percussionist Sanne Huijbregts crosses paths with Brussels-based pianist Barbara Drazkov, they are about to crash their worlds together. Expect something between Aphex Twin dreams and groove-heavy folk, twisted jazz, a touch of classical romanticism, and contemporary beats stitched together on the fly — all played live, all dangerously close to magic.

Sanne Huijbregts moves between indie-folk warmth and the spark of contemporary jazz. Known for her vivid live shows and a voice that stops you mid-thought, Sanne recently led her band Sanne Sanne to win the Dutch Jazz Competition 2024. Her sound feels like discovering a secret festival stage at 3 AM — dreamy, electric, unforgettable.

Barbara Drazkov weaves raw beauty out of piano strings and broken rules. With a background in classical music, experimental prepared piano and ritualistic performances, she's been quietly (and loudly) hacking the European scene from the inside out. Originally from Poland and now shaping Brussels' experimental scene, her performances fuse something fiercely alive.

The night is young, the music untamed — and the city is ready for a new story to be written in sound.
