TOGETHER FOR PEACE — Circle & Walk

Op deze herdenkingsdag van de aanslagen in Brussel brengen we hulde aan alle slachtoffers van geweld en terrorisme. Hun nagedachtenis inspireert ons om te handelen voor een toekomst waarin vrede zegeviert.

Sinds het begin van het jaar gaan er stemmen op om ons voor te bereiden op een oorlog, toespraken over haat en verdeeldheid. Maar wij willen niet vechten. Wij geven niet toe aan angst en haat. Wij geloven in de kracht van liefde, solidariteit en dialoog. We kiezen voor vrede.

We willen een wereld waarin kinderen zorgeloos kunnen opgroeien, waarin iedereen zich kan ontplooien zonder beperkingen. Een wereld waarin diversiteit wordt gevierd en iedereen zijn plek heeft.

Doe met ons mee op 22 maart!

We komen samen en delen met elkaar in een Cirkel met als thema ‘The Big Embrace’, begeleid door We have the choice vzw. De Cirkel is een oeroud ritueel in een modern jasje. Luisteren staat centraal. Woorden zijn welkom, in stilte aanwezig zijn zonder te spreken ook. De Cirkel wordt begeleid in het Nederlands, Frans en Engels.

Aansluitend nodigen we je uit om met ons mee te stappen in de Walk for Peace. We stappen samen van Schuman naar de Grote Markt, het hart van onze prachtige hoofdstad, waar we muzikaal afsluiten met een Big Embrace.

Waar? De Cirkel gaat door in GC Elzenhof, Kroonlaan 12, Elsene. Kom je enkel naar de Walk for Peace? Afspraak om 15u45 aan het herdenkingsmonument aan het Schumanplein.

We delen over ons verlangen naar vrede en verbinding en stappen samen voor een vreedzame en harmonieuze toekomst. Neem je kinderen, vrienden en buren mee. De tijd voor vrede is nu. Die keuze kunnen we samen maken.

Deelname is gratis, giften zijn welkom. Schrijf je in als je er bij zal zijn.

Als je niet kan komen, nodigen we je uit om op zaterdag 22 maart samen of alleen een moment van stilte in te lassen en een kaars te branden om zo op jouw manier en jouw ritme deel te nemen... Post een foto van jouw ‘Big Embrace’ moment op social media met onderstaande hashtags zodat we met zijn allen zoveel mogelijk lichtjes aansteken.

En ce jour de commémoration des attentats de Bruxelles, nous rendons hommage à toutes les victimes de la violence et du terrorisme. Leur mémoire nous inspire à agir pour un avenir où la paix triomphe.

Depuis le début de l’année, des voix s’élèvent pour nous préparer à la guerre, avec des discours de haine et de division. Mais nous ne voulons pas combattre. Nous ne cédons pas à la peur et à la haine. Nous croyons en la force de l’amour, de la solidarité et du dialogue. Nous choisissons la paix.

Nous voulons un monde où les enfants peuvent grandir sans souci, où chacun peut s’épanouir sans limites. Un monde où la diversité est célébrée et où chacun a sa place.

Rejoignez-nous le 22 mars !

Nous nous rassemblerons dans un Cercle sur le thème "The Big Embrace", guidé par We Have the Choice asbl. Le Cercle est un rituel ancien remis au goût du jour. L'écoute est au coeur de ce moment. Les paroles sont les bienvenues, tout comme la présence en silence. Le Cercle sera guidé en néerlandais, français et anglais.

Ensuite, nous vous invitons à marcher avec nous lors de la Walk for Peace. Nous marcherons ensemble de Schuman jusqu’à la Grand-Place, au coeur de notre belle capitale, où nous clôturerons par un Big Embrace musical.

Où ? Le Cercle aura lieu au GC Elzenhof, Rue de la Couronne 12, Ixelles.Si vous venez uniquement pour la Walk for Peace, rendez-vous à 15h45 au monument commémoratif de la place Schuman.

Nous partageons notre désir de paix et de connexion et marchons ensemble pour un avenir pacifique et harmonieux. Amenez vos enfants, amis et voisins. Le temps de la paix est maintenant. Nous pouvons faire ce choix ensemble.

La participation est gratuite, les dons sont les bienvenus. Inscrivez-vous si vous souhaitez participer.

Si vous ne pouvez pas venir, nous vous invitons à prendre un moment de silence seul ou en groupe, le samedi 22 mars, et à allumer une bougie pour participer à votre manière et à votre rythme... Postez une photo de votre moment "Big Embrace" sur les réseaux sociaux avec les hashtags ci-dessous, afin que nous puissions allumer autant de bougies que possible ensemble.

On this commemoration day of the Brussels attacks, we honor all victims of violence and terrorism. Their memory inspires us to act for a future where peace prevails.

Since the beginning of this year, there have been voices calling us to prepare for war, with speeches of hate and division. But we do not want to fight. We do not give in to fear and hatred. We believe in the power of love, solidarity, and dialogue. We choose peace.

We want a world where children can grow up carefree, where everyone can thrive without limitations. A world where diversity is celebrated, and everyone has their place.

Join us on March 22!

We will come together and share in a Circle themed ‘The Big Embrace,’ guided by We Have the Choice vzw. The Circle is an ancient ritual with a modern twist. Listening is key. Words are welcome, as is being present in silence. The Circle will be guided in Dutch, French, and English.

Afterwards, we invite you to join us for the Walk for Peace. We will walk together from Schuman to the Grand Place, the heart of our beautiful capital, where we will end with a musical Big Embrace.

Where? The Circle will take place at GC Elzenhof, Kroonlaan 12, Elsene.If you’re only coming for the Walk for Peace, meet us at 3:45 PM at the memorial monument at Schuman Square.

We share our desire for peace and connection and walk together for a peaceful and harmonious future. Bring your children, friends, and neighbors. The time for peace is now. We can make that choice together.

Participation is free. Donations are welcomed. Please sign up if you will attend.

If you cannot attend, we invite you to take a moment of silence on Saturday, March 22, alone or with others, and light a candle to participate in your own way and at your own pace... Post a photo of your ‘Big Embrace’ moment on social media with the hashtags below so we can light as many candles as possible together.
